The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is poised to kickstart the online registration process to recruit Clerk Cadre Posts from July 1, 2023. Interested graduates are advised to apply on or before July 21, 2023. However, there is yet to be any official confirmation on the website.
IBPS will conduct the prelims exam on August 26 and 27 and September 09, 2023, for all applicants who successfully submit their applications. Candidates who clear the prelims will be summoned for the IBPS Clerk Mains Exam on October 7, 2023.
The recruitment process is intended to fill positions across various Indian government banks, including Bank of India, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, and UCO Bank.
IBPS Clerk 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt of India or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
On registering, applicants must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
Moreover, proficiency in operating computer systems is a prerequisite. One should either have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language or should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/College/Institute.
Age Limit:
The candidate must be aged between 20 and 28 years.
IBPS Clerk 2023: Selection Process
Candidates will need to pass through two rounds:
- IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2023
- IBPS Clerk Mains Exam 2023
IBPS Clerk 2023: Exam Pattern
The examination consists of 100 questions, each with one mark. The subjects and their respective marks distribution include:
- English Language: 30 questions for 30 Marks
- Numerical Ability: 35 questions for 35 Marks
- Reasoning Ability: 35 questions for 35 Marks
Negative marking is applicable, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. Each subject must be completed within 20 minutes.
IBPS Clerk Admit Card 2023
The prelims and main exams’ admit cards will be released on the official website – ibps.in. To download the admit card, candidates must use their Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth.
IBPS Clerk Result 2023
Results for both the Prelims and Mains Exams will be announced on the official website within a month of conducting the respective exams.
