iDEATE 2023 aims to foster innovative startups and entrepreneurial growth in Northeast India
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati’s Research Park Foundation has rolled out iDEATE 2023, a startup pitch program, on the esteemed institution’s campus. This initiative seeks to spur and nourish innovative concepts from the region and support the development of sustainable business models amongst budding entrepreneurs in Northeast India.

Program Structure and Highlights
iDEATE 2023 is structured to include an array of activities, such as boot camps and mentoring sessions led by industry veterans. The program also encompasses idea pitching, startup funding and mentoring, resource allocation and growth guidance, and insightful expert talks. Winners of this initiative will be recognized through awards and will benefit from extensive outreach programs.
Participants selected for iDEATE 2023 will be mentored by domain experts, providing an invaluable opportunity for first-hand interaction with potential investors. Furthermore, they will receive certificates from the IIT Guwahati Research Park.
Collaborative Support and Opportunities
The program has garnered support from the Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) First Bank. Selected winners will be offered an opportunity to join the IDFC First Bank’s ‘Leap to the Unicorn’ program, an initiative that provides further domain-wide support and essential resources to expedite startup growth.
Application and Eligibility
iDEATE 2023 welcomes applications from students, nascent entrepreneurs, and startups. Registration for the event began on June 15 and will remain open until June 30. Interested applicants can register online.
IIT Guwahati Research Park: Fostering Innovation
The IIT Guwahati Research Park, the orchestrator of iDEATE 2023, endeavours to boost technology-based innovation and nurture entrepreneurs to create custom solutions for key challenges. In addition to providing customised spaces and shared equipment, the Park offers funding opportunities, mentorship, market connectivity, and other essential resources for startups to thrive.
The Research Park was established with the objective of creating a conducive ecosystem that promotes and supports the growth and success of startups and established companies in the region, according to a press release.
